By submitting a journal for indexing in the International Consortium for Forensic and Judicial Expertise (ICFJE), the submitting party (hereafter referred to as the "Publisher" or "Submitter") agrees to the following terms and conditions:
The submitted journal must be peer-reviewed and have a clearly defined editorial and review process.
Journals must demonstrate relevance to the fields of forensic science, forensic medicine, judicial expertise, legal medicine, or related interdisciplinary domains.
Journals must have a valid ISSN (International Standard Serial Number).
The journal must have been regularly published for at least one year or two consecutive issues.
Publishers must submit a completed indexing application form.
Full issues or sample articles must be made available for review.
Journal metadata, including titles, abstracts, keywords, author affiliations, and DOIs (if applicable), must be accurately provided.
The publisher must provide direct access to the journal’s website and online archives.
Journals must adhere to international publishing ethics, including but not limited to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
Plagiarism, falsification of data, and other forms of academic misconduct will result in immediate rejection or delisting.
All articles must include a clear statement regarding conflict of interest, funding sources, and authorship responsibilities.
The ICFJE reserves the right to evaluate journals based on:
Editorial quality
Peer review transparency
Frequency and regularity of publication
Accessibility and archiving policy
Ethical publishing practices
Scientific contribution and relevance to ICFJE’s scope
Decisions regarding inclusion in the ICFJE index will be made by the ICFJE Editorial Board or its appointed reviewers.
The ICFJE reserves the right to reject any journal without obligation to disclose reasons.
Journals accepted for indexing will be notified in writing and will be publicly listed on the ICFJE Index.
Indexing in the ICFJE does not imply endorsement or responsibility for the content published by the journal.
The publisher retains full copyright of their journal and its content.
The publisher agrees to notify ICFJE of any major changes in journal policy, editorial board, or publication frequency.
Indexed journals are subject to periodic review.
Failure to maintain the standards required by ICFJE may lead to suspension or removal from the index without prior notice.
The publisher is responsible for ensuring continuous compliance with the above conditions.
All information submitted during the indexing process will be treated as confidential and used solely for evaluation purposes.
ICFJE will not distribute, sell, or otherwise misuse journal content or metadata provided for indexing.
ICFJE reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Continued participation implies acceptance of the updated terms.
By submitting a journal for indexing, the Publisher acknowledges and agrees to abide by all the above terms and conditions.
